Basketball
UPWARD & YOUTH BASKETBALL INFORMATION:
Basketball registration begins in September. Listed are the programs that are offered:
• Upward Basketball - Kindergarten (5 by October 1st of the
current year) through 3rd grade
• Upward Cheer - Kindergarten (5 by October 1st of the current year)
through 3rd grade
• Youth Basketball - 4th through 12th grades in a church league
Evaluations are required for K-8th grade and take place in November. (Check the Recreation Calendar for dates!) Teams are selected based on a computer draft. Practices begin in December and games start the second week of January and end with an Awards Night Celebration in March for K-8th grades.
9th through 12th grade games start in December and go through the end of March with a tournament at the conclusion of the season.
MEN'S & HIGH SCHOOL 3-ON-3 BASKETBALL:
Registration begins in early February through mid-March. (Check the Recreation Calendar for dates!) Men and high school boys that are 14 through 18 years old may register. Games begin in late March and are played on Thursday nights. The schedule is subject to change in case of church scheduling conflicts or special events.
