I started working for CFBC: August 3, 2009
My family: My wonderful wife of 20 years, Audrey, and our children, Gloria (10) and Philip (8)
My role at CFBC: Directing the Worship Orchestra each week and starting the new Praise Orchestra which will function as a feeder group into the Worship Orchestra
Personal story: I grew up in a Christian home. I realized when I was seven that I needed a Savior so I accepted Christ right before I turned eight. God gave me a desire for music when I was young, and I felt a call to the ministry in high school.
Favorite book of the Bible: I Samuel
Recent books I’ve enjoyed: Living as if Heaven Matters by David Shibley
Most fulfilling part of my job: Hearing wonderful music that honors our Lord Jesus every week and seeing the orchestra improve and grow closer to God as they worship!
Places of service available in my ministry: Worship Orchestra & Praise Orchestra
Spiritual gifts: Encouragement, administration and service
My hobbies: Music, watching sports and yard work
I hope heaven includes: A huge orchestra to play in!
The smartest thing I’ve ever done: Accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior
The best way to pray for me: Pray that God will give me wisdom in leading the Worship Orchestra and finding new music that will glorify Jesus. Also, spiritual growth for me and my family and a vision for the instrumental music ministry at Collierville First Baptist
