Four thousand are to praise the LORD with the musical instruments I have provided.
I Chronicles 23:5
Our instrumental music ministry is an integral part of worship here at CFBC! We continually welcome new musicians who want to join in the ministry work here. Grab your instrument and get involved in what God is doing at CFBC!
WORSHIP ORCHESTRA
The Worship Orchestra is composed of brass, woodwind and string players, and includes guitars, keyboards, a rhythm section and other instruments. The Orchestra plays regularly in weekend services and special productions. The Worship Orchestra rehearses each Wednesday from 5:30 until 6:45 p.m. in the Orchestra Hall (Level B). Childcare is provided for rehearsals. Schedule an interview/audition by contacting Steve Davis.
PRAISE ORCHESTRA
Praise Orchestra is an intermediate band and orchestra for middle & high school students and adults with two or more years of lessons or band experience. Students and adults who play brass, woodwind, string and rhythm instruments are welcome in this ministering group. Praise Orchestra plays once a month in Sunday Evening Worship Services and at other times throughout the year. The group meets Sundays from 4:30 until 5:30 p.m. in the Orchestra Hall (Level B).
JAZZ BAND
Our Praise Band ensemble consists of trumpets, trombones, baritones and saxophones with a rhythm section. Jazz Band is an auditioned group that features "big band" instrumentation and some challenging music. Rehearsals meet as scheduled on Wednesday evenings.
OTHER ENSEMBLES
We continue to add other ensembles to minister in CFBC services and events, including a Chamber Ensemble and a Brass Choir.
ACADEMY OF PERFORMING ARTS
Music education and training opportunities for all ages are available in CFBC’s Academy of Performing Arts. All ages can develop their music gifts through private instruction. Piano classes are offered to ages four and up. Guitar, voice, and various orchestral instrument lessons are available to age-appropriate students. For more information about private lessons through the Academy of Performing Arts, contact APA Director Laura Junkins.
