Wedding Bells and Lots to Do! <3

Girls, whether we admit it or not, I am sure we all have thought about what we would each like our wedding to be like. Some of you may want flowers and lights everywhere, others may think of a beautiful ball gown with rhinestones and a tiara type veil, or maybe a chocolate fountain at your reception… But I want to ask you the most important question about your wedding. What is your groom like??? Have you imagined what he will be like, standing there down the center aisle when... Read More

Thanksgiving!

Girls, I have one question! This Thanksgiving, what are you most thankful for? Have you even thought about it yet? Sometimes we get so excited about getting out of school, eating an amazing meal, and traveling to see family that we forget to thank the Lord for what He has done in your life! So what has God done in and through you this year? What or who has He blessed you with? I encourage ya'll to do as Hebrews 13:15-16 says, "Through him then let us continually offer up a sacrifice of... Read More

Paint a Pumpkin

Girls! I am so glad so many of you got to come paint pumpkins with us yesterday! We had about 40 girls come and a couple new faces :) It's pretty neat to see all of your personalities displayed just in how you chose to decorate your pumpkin! We are all so different and each of us are precious in the Lord's heart! Psalm 139 says He formed our inward parts, He knitted us together in our mother's womb. We are fearfully and wonderfully made! How vast is the sum of the thoughts He has toward... Read More

YoUr LeGaCy!!!

So recently i went on a retreat to Henrietta, TN to a girls minstry director's retreat! It was a sweet time to meet with the Lord and other women who do what I do. While we were there we spent some time in prayer, and the Lord laid on my heart how important our legacy we leave behind in this life truly is. so what is this legacy I am talking about? it is your spirtual legacy... something you will pass on to the generations to come. We should live in such a way that our faith is remembered in... Read More

Big Sis/Little Sis Night!

WOW! I am blown away by how many girls signed up for big sis/little sis! Seriously, it is going to be so good, and we had 50 girls come :) The tables were set up and everyone's name cards were at their seat. I wish you girls could have seen what I got to watch! Each one of you rushed around the room looking for your spot to meet your sis. The moment was priceless, and each one of you had joy and excitment on your face. I know the Lord is going to use this to teach the younger girls how to walk... Read More

Boys!

Boys! ... all girls know they make our heads hurt sometimes. Over lunch the other day some friends and I were talking about how much society today tells girls they have to date or be in a relationship in middle school and high school! Can I just tell you that is RIDICULOUS! A girl is not defined by who they are dating or how many guys look at them when they pass by in the hall. Just because the majority of people are doing something, it does not mean that is what you need to do! God has a... Read More

Visitation was Amazing!

Last night 6 of our girls came up to the church to visit. Unfortunately, the bus was being worked on! However, God had something better in mind for the night :) I was so proud to see you girls step up and call different people that have been coming to church! People need to know we care about them and be told about all the different things going on here in our youth ministry! Girls, thank you for your willingness to share. God definitely used your words and time for His glory! Hopefully, even... Read More

Overwhelmed! Matthew 22:15-22

Last week Piperton Baptist Church hosted a youth wide, weeek long, event in order to strengthen the body of believers! Youth from all over our area came based on 2 Timothy 4:12 "Let no one look down on you bc of your youth, but set an example in speech, conduct, love, faith, and purity.  One night, we looked at Matthew 22 when talking about love! I was challenged to think just how much I truly love my Savior! Is he Lord (master) of my life? Well Matthew 22:15-22 says, "Then the Pharisees... Read More

A little bit about me!

Girls! I just wanted to take a minute and introduce myself! I'm Allison Steelman, and I recently graduated from the University of MS with a Bachelor's of Science in Elementary Education. I grew up in Olive Branch, MS where I attended Longview Heights Baptist Church and was very involved within the youth and college group. I love little kids, but I love youth girls even more! During middle and high school there were a lot of times that I felt the pressures of the world beating down on... Read More
